ughhh

  • Mood: exhausted
  • Music: Fidelity-- Regina Spektor
Tired & yet am here. Went to an aunt's yesterday & there was some drama, but was in the basement slightly MST3King Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo. The drama is extremely stupid & petty. Rather like family. Oh, did i say that aloud....

Also painted the primer, so am more tired & slightly achy, & my hands hurt for some reason. Today, the color goes on. It better look good. I know how different light slightly changes color, but seriously, it better work. Then the door needs to me sealed & apparently there's this baseboard thing that's needed, as well as something to go under the rug as a sound buffer...

And there's almost 300 deviations on my Watch list to go through.

For New Year's, i was over at Maggie's. Some girl, who turned out to be a drunk friend of one of Tom's friend & apparently it was a prank & i am no utterly confused, called Tom's phone & it was really funny. Filmed some of it. At one point, she said, "I don't want you talking to other girls," & Tom's older sister, Lauren, yelled, "Bitch! he can talk to whoever he wants!" It was really funny. They left before midnight, though, so it was just me, Janna, Maggie, & Nathaniel, & then after midnight, we ate homemade pizzas. But overall, 2009's infancy has yet to really be extremely impressive in any way. (Yesterday, being January 3rd, would have been Professor Tolkien's 117th birthday, however.)

Regardless, am trying to do a picture a day for the entire year kind of thing. Not exactly Jamie Livingston, for obvious reasons, but it is all going to be here if you care at all. (Should it really be under my "art" tags, though? or something different?)

Keep listening to this song, "FIRE!!" over & over. I never watched past Digimon 02-- & i hated that ending; i refuse to believe in it-- but this song is pretty brilliant. (Translation of one of the choruses: the future that's beyond the trash can/ gather the light and get a fire power!! Beyond the trash can; what on earth?) But i associate it with Hetalia because listening to it has coincided with me getting into the fandom. Kind of like how i associate "Sonomama" with Fruits Basket (this one summer when i was really into it) even though the song is from Kenshin. Babble babble babble.

And really paranoid about my teeth, because am pretty damn sure the filling in the one is disappearing, something it's not supposed to do. Maybe i'm just paranoid? But my dentist isn't calling back. Ever. Plus, i have this odd scar on my stomach & scratch marks on my left knee. I have no idea how they got there. It's a little disturbing. And i keep clenching my jaw.

And, not that i really care about new Doctor Who, but what is this hubbub over the next actor? Is it the black guy, or did they go back to the beginning & cast some random old guy? Hah, that would be hilarious. I want to see how they're going to end it all. Last i checked, a Time Lord only got twelve regenerations. (So, you know, how the hell was the Master able to do a fourteenth one (or, er, fifteenth?)? Who did he kill this time?) So are they going to kill off the Doctor, or just make the last episode open-ended, like him going off to who-knows-where, & it just being the end?

.....I think they should cast an old guy as the Doctor again.

Bought things with gift cards. Got a Regina Spektor that was an import, "Mary Ann Meets the Gravediggers and Other Short Stories," that comes with the same DVD as "Soviet Kitsch," so i need to find the CD-only one, because what's the point of having two exactly similar DVDs? Exactly. It was funny, because that was at Best Buy, & the sticker said it was $16 or so, but it rung up as over $30. I commented on this oddity, & the woman working the register-- she couldn't have been much older than me-- was just as confused. "This is why i hate working on register," she said, & we kind of giggled over it all, & then some guy showed up & saved the day. It was priceless. I like it when things happen & i can talk to the people working & i'm not too awkward (which is very rare).

Then went to Borders, & finally got Emmy Rossum's CD, & also got January's issue of Juxtapoz, & also used the 30% off coupon on the big big by Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen. I know, i know, but it's really rather interesting. It's just a big, heavy, hardcover of people they interviewed-- it's called Influence, fittingly, as they interviewed living people who they counted as influences in their lives. It was kind of surprising as to how interesting i found it, because there was that preconcieved notion of what the authors were/stood for/whatever. But it turns out they have a work ethic and seem genuinely interested in many things. I already had an idea of that already, really, having read two interviews in the past year (i think?) with Mary-Kate Olsen (the one in Nylon was really well-written). So i just finished it (very early) yesterday. I liked it.

Will stop babbling & go play with Billie now.
